Honoring Our Heroes
We dedicate this race to the first responders of 9/11 and to all those who defend our country at home and abroad. Each year, the Club distributes proceeds from the race to local non-profit organizations. We hope you will join us as we celebrate health, community, and philanthropy. All 8k finishers will receive a commemorative medal.
When: Sunday, September 13, 2026, 8K Race @ 8:00 AM | Kids’ Fun Run @ 7:30 AM

Awards: Cash Prizes for Top 3 M/W, Awards for Age Groups 15-85+, School Division Award: a contribution to the PTA of the school with the most participants (8k and fun run). New this year: Team Awards! Race with a team of four (mixed open, mixed masters, mixed senior masters) for a chance at bragging rights and a cash award!
At the Event:
- FDNY bagpiper Barry Reilly will lead runners to the start!
- NHP Memorial and Sacred Heart graduate Sabrina Balducci will sing the National Anthem — then run the 8k!
- Councilperson Christine Liu (Dist. 4) and Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena will award Race medals to finishers!
- Enjoy bagels, bananas, coffee, and sweet treats!
- Win a raffle prize! All 8k racers are automatically entered in a drawing!
- Refreshments served by the Lakeville Civic Association
- Traffic control by Nassau County Police
- Chip timing by SRC Timing
