46th Annual 8K Race – Honoring our Heroes


Honoring Our Heroes

We dedicate this race to the first responders of 9/11 and to all those who defend our country at home and abroad. Each year, the Club distributes proceeds from the race to local non-profit organizations. We hope you will join us as we celebrate health, community, and philanthropy. All 8k finishers will receive a commemorative medal.

When: Sunday, September 8, 2024
8K Race @ 8:00 AM | Kids’ Fun Run @ 7:30 AM

Where: Clinton G. Martin Park, New Hyde Park Rd & Marcus Ave. New Hyde Park NY 11042

Awards: Cash Prizes for Top 3 M/W, Trophies for Age Groups 15-85+, School Spirit Award: a contribution to the PTA of the school with the most participants (8k and fun run), School Division Trophy for the best combined score of district teams’ top 3 finishers in the 8k

About:

Join us for one of the oldest races on Long Island. This is a USATF-Long Island Individual and Team Championship Race and is part of the Grand Prix Championship Series. The course is a USA Track & Field 8K (4.97 miles) that leads through the suburban streets of New Hyde Park.
